Modern studies in psychology and vibrational healing have proven to be therapeutic for anyone but especially for those with  ADD, ADHD, Dyslexia, Autism, ODD, OCD, Tourette’s and Asperger’s Syndrome, among others.  Hand drums can be very effective at building social skills and forging alternate lines of communication. It is a great tool for parent-child interaction as well as stress relief for parents.

Drum therapy is great for all people starting from small children up to the elderly.  It is even ideal for people who just need to blow off stress and steam from work/every day life!!!

This is hands-on therapy!!! Simple rhythms are taught so that people can focus on the sound and vibration and will not have to worry about achievement or academic progression. The therapy is in simply playing effective rhythms on the drums and the interactions with the facilitator and other drummers.

Sean has been exploring the world of ethnic drums since 1995. He has performed with different groups and drum ensembles in NY, PA, IL, and MI, and has toured much of the continental U.S.

He has 6 years of working with severely mentally ill and developmentally disabled adults under his belt and has volunteered with special needs children for over a decade. Drum therapy has become Sean’s way of giving back to communities and being a part of the lives of special needs people.
